The Annual Golf Day is to be held again to provide some relaxation after the strain of the Club Championships. If golf lives up to it's reputation, in some cases the strain from the tennis will only be moved to the golf course.
However here are the facts :-
Date. Sunday, 30th October, 2011
Where. North Ryde Golf Club, Twin Road, North Ryde. http://northrydegolfclub.com.au/GOLF/GolfCourse.aspx
Time. 1.20 pm onwards.
A sheet will be pinned on the club notice board for registering your intention to play. Team combinations can be registered also on this sheet. Remaining individuals will be combined into teams by the Golf Day Organiser, Russ Elliott, on a random basis subject to his whims and fancies.
As has worked so enjoyably in past years, the format of the day will probably be Ambrose - this will be confirmed and the process further detailed before hit-off.
For one to twenty players the fee will be $40 per person, above twenty players the fee will be $37 per person. Please pay on the day directly to the club pro shop.
North Ryde has good eating facilities. LCTC shall subsidise the costs of snacks after the game, to a reasonable degree.
The longest drive and nearest the pin on selected holes will be rewarded as will some team performances. Holes in one require drinks all round at the expense of the clever individual.
It is required that you turn up in good time, preferably by 1.00 pm so that we can get organised properly.
Greatly looking forward to your participation in what is always a very enjoyable event on the club's calendar.
In response to the 'real' Wimbledon championships LCTC is proud to announce its second annual Wimbledon day on the 26th of June. Open to all members from 12:00pm join us at the immaculately groomed Chatswood Lawn Courts found secluded in the Lane between Ellis Street and Gordon Avenue off the Pacific Highway, Chatswood. Next to the railway line.
The afternoon will include strawberries and cream with a strong chance of tennis.
Appropriate tennis attire is required, whites only, with additional points available for sporting accessories.
Looking forward to your attendance at The Championships, Chatswood.
